Pre-work checklist: Prior to the start of the roofing project, Admiral Roofing representatives will walk you through the process and have you sign it.

A day before the project begins, you will receive the shingles (we will place them in your driveway or where you have instructed us as the homeowner). TIP ─ Find out when this will happen so you can prepare, such as moving cars or staying home.

Pre Job Roofing

Pre Work Checklist – Roof Installation:

  1. In case you have a pet, you need to inform your roofing contractor to make a decision about locking it before starting the installation
  2. Take all precautionary measures to protect your valuable things in your garden, including planters and statues.
  3. You can either keep your gates open for the contractor or ask them to keep the doors close behind them during the process.
  4. Talk in advance about any special request that you have in your mind with your roofing contractor.
  5. Remember to remove all the valuable things, including pictures and scenery, from the outer walls, as the vibration during the installation process can cause them to fall down.
  6. If we reroof for you, we will remove the old felt from your decking, which can cause debris to fall between cracks in your decking, so please make sure that all valuables in your attic are covered, and you are mindful that a post-job cleanup will have to be performed. This debris is not the responsibility of Admiral Roofing. Your company representative or home crew chief should be consulted if this poses a problem.
  7. There is a possibility of leftover material at the end of the job. We usually over-order the material to ensure the material is supplied during the process. Admiral Roofing has the rights to this material, and they will pick the material from the location within three working days after completing the installation process.
  8. Park your vehicles away from the working site to avoid any damage caused due to falling debris.
  9. You can significantly simplify the cleanup process by mowing your lawn before the roofing job. There is a possibility that nails will remain in your yard after we complete the roofing project.

Tip- Ensure that your contractor explains whether he will cover the flowers or shrubbery. Alternatively, you can perform it yourself if you don’t want to hire someone.

Pre Work Checklist

Final day/finishing up on the job:

  1. A final inspection of your property will be done with you and your contractor; this is the time when you can make sure you get all the work done that you ask from your contractor.
  2. The crew is also responsible for sweeping your yard for nails or other loose materials. You can confront your contractor if you have some concerns about the debris.
  3. Your account can be settled, and the first check can be collected once the work is completed to your satisfaction.
  4. You will be provided with your warranty information within a few days after the installation process. You can also contact your company representative in this regard.

Tip- cleanup process details must be discussed before the starting of the installation process. If you are unsatisfied with the cleanup process, contact your contractor to do a secondary check for the nails and debris.

Use the link below to go to your SSA Client Portal where you can stay up to date on your project and view all of your files (once inside the portal, click on ROOF to view files).
